A public performance license is an agreement between a music user and the owner of a copyrighted composition (song), that grants permission to play the song in public, online, or on radio.
Whenever you play recorded music in public, such as at a club, restaurant, concert, on the radio, or streaming online, public performance licenses are required.
All public performance royalties in the United States are collected by three agencies:
ASCAP, BMI, SESAC.
For any business using Moozicore as the Background Music Provider, the required licensing is covered for SESAC, BMI, ASCAP. With a paid subscription, you are not responsible for the payment of any copyright royalties to organizations such as ASCAP, BMI, SESAC or for any sound recordings delivered using our service, as these are included in the monthly subscription.
However there are some exceptions if you play music from different source like Live bands, DJs, or Karaoke Moozicore cannot cover as it's outside of the scope of Moozicore license. Then you should contact the performing rights organizations directly to acquire the proper additional licensing.
